The external polluting affects of sulfur in diesel fuel

During combustion, the sulfur contained in diesel fuel is converted to sulfur di-oxide that converts to sulfuric acid when it comes in contact with seawater at the exhaust gas outlet. Sulfuric acid is a serious pollutant.
